The Chacana Negra is a blackout iteration of our beloved Chacana Roja model. Opting for subtle contrasts and textures (at least by our standards), it features black 13oz Bull Denim, a black suede collar, elbow patches, and black wool chacana pockets. The pockets are woven by hand by the ultra-talented Sachamama artisan collective in Santiago del Estero, Argentina.
The denim fabric, the wool pockets, the suede, and buttons are all made in Argentina.
Build Details Include:
- 13oz undyed raw 100% cotton denim body
- 100% hand-woven lambswool pockets
- Exaggerated suede elbow patches
- Suede undercollar
Justin is 5'9", 155lbs, and wears a size M Tapestry Jacket
Note: The pockets are made from artisanally-dyed wool. Color and shape may vary slightly from the product pictured. In our eyes, the variations and imperfections are part of what makes these so special, but it is worth calling out.
Dry clean only.
The tapestry pockets are woven in either Jujuy, Argentina, by Cornelio and his family, who make a lot of our favorite wall tapestries, or by the Sachamama Artisan collective in Santiago del Estero, Argentina. They ship the pockets to us in Buenos Aires, where Susan's boutique workshop sews them onto a locally made, 13oz 100% cotton denim weave. Hear their stories and see our processes below.
