The Bird & The Hound. What more can we say that isn't already in the name?
The pockets are woven thread by thread in Jujuy, Argentina, by Cornelio and his family on a traditional Criolla Loom. We have been working with Cornelio for years, and each collection he one-ups himself with the precision, complexity, and beauty of the weaves. On these particular tapestry pockets, the eyes of the animals are embroidered on to achieve even finer detail. The denim fabric, the wool pockets, the suede, and buttons are all made in Argentina.
Build Details Include:
- 13oz deep forest green 100% cotton denim body.
- 100% hand-woven lambswool pockets
- Exaggerated suede elbow patches
- Suede collar

The tapestry pockets are woven in either Jujuy, Argentina, by Cornelio and his family, who make a lot of our favorite wall tapestries, or by the Sachamama Artisan collective in Santiago del Estero, Argentina. They ship the pockets to us in Buenos Aires, where Susan's boutique workshop sews them onto a locally made, 13oz 100% cotton denim weave. Hear their stories and see our processes below.
