El Bolsón is named after a beautiful town in Patagonia and literally translates to "The Big Bag," which feels appropriate, given the scale of this thing at 20" wide x 16" tall, with a 4" base.

The Carryall is our take on the classic canvas tote bag, featuring several intentional upgrades, including vegetable-tanned leather base and handles, and a crocheted mesh pocket, which is our artisanal cherry on top.

The outer pocket is hand-made by graduates of the “Tejiendo el Barrio”, or Knitting the Neighborhood, initiative. Running in underserved government housing zones in Buenos Aires, the project promotes social inclusion and teaches valuable skills to local participants, providing an additional source of income and a way to showcase talent and creativity.

The reverse face shows an embroidered jaguar, as well as the two places we call home. Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Asheville, North Carolina (but that's a story for another time).

Specs include:

  • Brass Hardware
  • Heavy-duty duck canvas body
  • Vegetable-tanned Argentine leather base and handle
  • Detachable leather shoulder strap
  • hand-made mesh pocket
  • Measures 16" tall x 20" wide x 4" deep

small, too long, and different color

Everything is in the title its very skinny not a belt for jeans at all. I ordered a size 38 its about a size 42 and the color is completely different than the picture. Other than the major aesthetics being completely wrong size and color it feels well made.

Amazing investment

Dressing in modern day can be tricky. I want to have something that is good quality (and usually it’s a shot in the dark because I don’t know a ton about, something unique that I won’t see people also be wearing so I’ll stand out and a company with a good morale compass always helps the sting of dropping a bit of money. I like to think I found this with this jacket, the detail with the leather and the handmade pockets makes this jacket standout. I always get a compliment on it when I go out. I like to think of it as a shacket, light weight so I can wear standalone with a shirt in Spring/Summer, but also a hoodie in late Fall/Winter and make heavy hoodies look more fashionable. I enjoy the fact that it’s not a large corporation, because I see they pay their producers in Argentina a fair wage and also the fact that not many people in my area have heard of Fields Outfitting. Genuinely extremely happy with this purchase!
