The Limonero Rug was made as a part of our ongoing collaboration with an artisan collective from the remote Santiago del Estero in Northern Argentina, using an ancient weaving technique that is unique to the region.  While we rarely carry rugs anymore, this one was too good to pass up.

    Made in Salta by Marcos Condori (pictured below)

    Hand made from start to finish.

    Marcos and company spin the wool into yarn using home-made wheels, dye the yarn using primarily natural pigments, and then weave intricate patterns on artisanal looms.
