The Ritual Mask
This decorative mask is hand-carved and hand-painted using traditional techniques by skilled artisans from the Chané indigenous group in Salta, Argentina.
These ritual masks are used in the Andean Carnaval, which blends Incan festivities including tributes to the Pachamama (mother earth), and the Catholic Carnival.
Please note this mask is made of the porous native Argentine wood called Palo Borracho and is intended for decorative purposes only.
Size: 18.5in x 6.5in x 4in

so happy with this purchase! this is the third mask i’ve purchased from fields outfitting and i’ve been so amped on their market finds. the mask is light, has a hole to easily loop wire through and hang. the carving is exceptional, they make a beautiful statement. shipping is fast and reliable. would absolutely recommend!
