The Condor Tapestry
This hand-woven tapestry features The Andean Condor, the largest flying bird in the Western Hemisphere - found in the Andes mountains where this tapestry was made. The Condor is surrounded by the Andean cross motif and other textures that represent the desert highlands.
This tapestry was woven in Jujuy, Argentina, on a traditional loom using lambswool that is spun and dyed by hand. The asymmetries and beauty marks are part of what make this artisanal piece so unique, and in our eyes, so perfect.
